about Rose
Rose is a dynamic pop singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada, whose music spans multiple genres and draws inspiration from a diverse array of artists, including Taylor Swift, Charli XCX, and Joni Mitchell. Rose’s songwriting journey began at the age of 8, influenced by the Disney Channel pop stars of her childhood, her musical household, and a deep personal need for self-expression. This foundation has led to a style characterized by thoughtful, authentic, and often clever lyrics. Rose’s sound blends the indie-pop sensibilities of Lizzy McAlpine and The Sundays with the experimentation and cinematic vulnerability found in the productions of Jack Antonoff and FINNEAS.In May 2024, Rose released her debut single across all streaming platforms, and since then, she has been focused on elevating her work with the creation of her debut EP. She completed a Certificate in Independent Songwriting and Performance at Seneca College in 2023 and is currently pursuing a degree in Professional Music at Toronto Metropolitan University. Rose’s passion for collaboration was further solidified during Andrea Stolpe’s Songwriting Retreat in Nashville in 2024, where she gained invaluable experience strengthening her craft and co-writing with others.She is currently focused on building her catalogue, co-writing, performing, and sharing her music with a wider audience. Driven by her dream of becoming an integral part of the next generation of pop music as a songwriter and collaborator, fostering meaningful connections with both emerging and established artists and industry professionals. Above all, Rose strives to write music that is authentic, meaningful, and deeply resonates with listeners.

"I Don't Fit In"
I wrote this song in December of 2024. It is a reflection on my high school experience, insecurities and the toxic friendships that forced me to be someone I’m not. It’s about realizing that not fitting in often means staying true to yourself. 💖
"Going Nowhere Fast"
Written this past summer and recorded recently, this song reflects on struggles with societal pressures, the fear of failure and comparison in your early twenties. ✈️
"High Hopes"
Written in December 2024, this song is inspired by the phrase 'a crush is just a lack of information.' It’s about putting someone on a pedestal, only to realize they’re a huge disappointment—in my case, the guy turned out to be kind of mean and nothing like I expected. 🥰
"Stay"
This song was written over a year ago and recorded in October 2023. It explores the realization of emotional abuse in a relationship and the struggle to find the courage to break free. ♥️
"Make It Make Sense (Impossible Task)"
Written this February, this song captures the frustration of watching someone you love sabotage themselves and push you away, leaving you helpless as you struggle to understand why. It’s tough love, saying, "I will never understand why you don’t value yourself." 💕
"Parallel Universe"
This song was written well over a year ago and recorded in March of last year. It experiments with an almost R&B production style. It explores themes of betrayal and the idea of mourning the version of someone you hoped they'd be. 💔
